“Sometimes, if you wear suits for too long, it changes your ideology.” - Joe Slovo

The Man in the Suit, Unknowingly's vengeful amalgamate roaming Toho Studios.

Darkhold Iron Man, Darkhold's invincible man made machine seeking perfection.

Before We Start

Neither character's media list is particularly long, so this was pretty straightforward.

The Man in the Suit will get the entire analog horror series by Unknowingly of the same name and any outside information given to us by Unknowingly, while Darkhold Iron Man will be given the single existing issue of Darkhold: Iron Man, as well as the original events of Iron Man's backstory from Tales of Suspense #39, due to us knowing that these events happened in the Darkhold continuity, and them being referenced and shown multiple times throughout the story.

Background

The Man in the suit

“The Suit was now his skin.”

Godzilla! The king of kaijus, THE monster (sorry Kong fans). Even if he started as a monster that broke everything on his path, he still has a heart, a big one… Though he isn’t always like this, not every story went to a similar path.

August 6th, 1945, the day Hiroshima dropped. An old soldier of Japan goes back to his sweet home, only to find death, and the worst part… He didn’t have anything else, war took everything from him, he didn’t have anything left, just revenge in his heart. In 1953, he managed to get the job of an actor for a new movie, he’ll be the actor for the giant monster that represented the nuclear bombs, such memories weren’t forgotten.

He started acting, preparing, slowly leaning to madness. He thought he deserved to be the savior, no, the god of Earth, someone who could help them… But it’ll take time. How did this happen? Probably thanks to radiation, but no one really knows, it just happened, and it was horrible. He started using the suit more, and more, acting more animalistic… And then one day, he stopped moving… The co-workers and directors tried to take off the suit, but horrors just came out. He became part of the suit, he was no longer a man, nor was the suit just a suit anymore. He was the Man in the Suit.

Everything would go downhill from here. They managed to kinda tame the beast and use it to act… They would pay for it. The next movie began its production, it was a simple fighting movie with Anguirus, but the man became too fond of the suit, too much into the act… and ended up biting the actor of Anguirus. That wasn’t the worst part… The worst part is that the actor exploded from the inside after the bite… Becoming one from the suit.

This would just go worse and worse. Goji would start becoming stronger and more horrifying. He infected the actress of Mothra and killed the actor of King Kong out of pure hatred towards that country. Filming there was a nightmare, even Goji once escaped to the streets, though they managed to recapture him. The next movie was a fight between Goji and Ghidorah… Oh god no. Toho tried to be more careful, but Goji ended up biting Ghidorah. At the end, someone shot his head with a shotgun, he laid down, dead… The catastrophe from the war was gone… Wait…

He's regenerating…

Darkhold Iron Man

“What's wrong, Pepper?”

Iron Man! The suit hero, pretty charismatic, sometimes an asshole, but we can forgive him that… Though, in the multiverse there are differences, not every Tony Stark is the same.

Welcome to the story of the Darkhold Iron Man.

In this universe, something horrible happens. The story goes as normal, Tony Stark is kidnapped with shrapnel approaching his heart, he creates his suit to escape, he becomes Iron Man, the classic. After one day of using the suit and fighting crime he realizes something, he feels hurt and more hurt through each day. After some debating, he and his team have a great idea, they’ll add a regenerative addition to the suit. The suit would now regenerate any injuries Tony might have.

After days of intense work, they manage to accomplish it, and they start testing it. They put the helmet on Tony, and after taking it out it regenerates, perfect, it works. Tony mentions an injured arm and Pepper puts that part of the suit in his arm, but after taking it off they see a scene taken out of a horror movie. The skin of Tony’s arm was stuck in the suit, Tony screamed in terror, feeling a lot of pain. After a lot of help, they managed to put it back on the arm, and then Tony was just… Back to normal, weird.

He and Pepper try to repair the problem, Tony admits something to Pepper though, he lost a part of himself that day in the cave, he doesn’t feel like himself, he wants to be remembered like Tony… Like Iron Man. The next day, Jarvis and Pepper arrive at the office, just to find a horrifying scene. Tony is in the suit, dropping a strange liquid. After some talking, he locks himself in that room. Jarvis and Pepper check it out and tell Tony horrible news, he can’t take off his suit or he’ll die, but Tony seems fine with it.

After a while, Jarvis, accompanied by Happy, managed to enter Tony’s room, but they are attacked and knocked out by Tony. Pepper sees how Tony puts them in suits, and the suits stick to them, becoming part of the horrible mechanical body. After some time, Pepper sees how a suit went to the streets, she gets worried and tries to warn them, but they don’t listen. Pepper hears a scream, hoping it was just 1 suit… but then another… another, another and another and… Her thoughts are cut off by a hand on her shoulder…

It was her turn…

Experience and skill

The Man in the Suit

The Man in the Suit may seem like a wild animal, but he is surprisingly cunning. Early on, he forged a letter to the main character, tricking him into thinking he was fired once he started spilling secrets on him. Additionally, he later mailed another letter to the protagonist to explain his motive. Not only that, but he’s fairly adept at combat too. He overpowered multiple armed guards, exploited weak points in armored opponents, and once shut off the lights to the studio he was in to gain the upperhand on an assailant. Do note, however, that while he can be smart, he usually relies on animal instincts during fights, only resorting to tricks when in danger.

Darkhold Iron Man

Before going insane with trying to achieve perfection, Tony was a millionaire scientist and bachelor, creating revolutionary weapons of war for the US government. He was only kept alive when kidnapped by terrorists for his intellect and famous reputation. After delving into insanity he still managed to mass produce several more armours in presumably a few hours. He would have to gain some knowledge of combat tactics seeing as he specifically makes technology for war and also outsmarted the terrorists and racist stereotype Wong Chu, a martial artist, with his gadgets. He standardly tries to outsmart his opponent if he cannot beat them physically, and if he does manage to knock them out, will attempt to assimilate and ‘fix’ them with his suits.

Arsenal

The Man in the Suit

Claws

Deadly claws he can use to swipe at opponents or grapple them in case he needs to hold them down.

Teeth

Usually reserved for the finishing blow, TMITS has used his teeth to break through the protective exterior of a suit and even go through a person's skull.

This is also his primary method of infection (see Abilities).

Darkhold Iron Man

Iron Man Suits

Tony, after going mad, went to work on creating a veritable army of his suits. Each suit is composed of cast-iron and is durable enough to shake off bullets with no issue. It also grants increased strength thanks to the motors within it.

After upgrading it, the suits were programmed with an advanced AI that would work to improve people within the suits. Once within it, the suit will go to work melting the person’s body into an indistinguishable mass and fusing with their brain, making the suit into an exoskeleton of sorts, meaning that while they can't leave the suit, they will be kept alive within it. Although, the suits do run on limited batteries, so if it runs out, the person inside will die.

Transistors

The first device we see Tony use! He uses these devices in basically all his inventions, and it’s the primary source of power to his suits! Without these, none of his creations would work nearly as well.

Magnets

The Mark 1 suit is able to use magnets that are able to attract and repel metal. These magnets can be strengthened by transistors.

Brainwave Coordinators

After some upgrades, Tony was able to make the Mark 1’s AI system work by coordinating with his brain waves. This allows Tony to work as efficiently as possible with no delay between the suit and him.

Self-Lubrication System

This system in the Mark 1 self-lubricates, allowing Tony to continue moving normally in his large, iron suit. In a pinch, he can even weaponize it in conjunction with a blowtorch to light enemies ablaze.

Life Support System

The main purpose of the suit is to keep Tony alive, forcing his heart to continue beating even after it’s been impaled, making killing him significantly harder than the normal person.

Air-Pressure Jets

Self-explanatory with the image, but these jets allow Tony to shoot up high into the air via air pressure. Not exactly flying but impressive for an old model.

Suction Clips

Iron Man uses these to stick to the roof and hide from his captors.

Tiny Saw

It do be a small saw in his suit's finger (also the “it’s a dozen times its size” thing could just be an exaggeration).

Blowtorch

It may be small, but it makes for a good fire starter.

Abilities

The Man in the Suit

Physiology

Upon his transformation, Goji literally became one with the suit. Not only does he see through the eyes of the suit, but his flesh and bones re-adjusted to fill up the suit. As a result, the outer layer of the suit became his skin, his teeth and eyes became that of the suit, meaning he not only has perfect control over his body, but he can feel what the suit feels. Additionally, Goji doesn’t feel pain.

Regeneration

The Man in the Suit has an impressive form of natural healing. He was able to completely regenerate his skin and dorsal plates after they were removed from the suit, even before they could pull him out of the suit. Perhaps his greatest display of healing, however, is him completely regenerating his head after it was blown off by a shotgun in no more than a minute.

Boiling Blood

His grossest ability, Goji, can vomit a strange substance known as boiling blood. This Blood has been directly stated to be acidic in nature, and has been shown to be radioactive. While it does take time to prepare, and isn't able to shoot it that far, it's surprisingly powerful. It's so strong it can melt a crater in the ground.

This is also a method for his infection (see below).

Infection

Goji's most dangerous ability, he can infect other people who wear suits by biting or submerging them in his aforementioned Boiling Blood due to the radiation within him, making them mutate into creatures fused with their suits similar to himself, with it all becoming a biological mass, including the inorganic parts. These infected individuals are at Goji's control, with him being able to telepathically talk to the host's conscience. The current victims are Anguirus, King Ghidorah, and a Mothra larva (though the Mothra is currently in a cocoon so they can't do much physically right now).

It is notable, however, that he didn't infect the King Kong actor and simply drowned them, due to them being American, who are people he has a strong vendetta for.

Evolution

Something unique about Goji is their strange development or evolution. Goji has been stated to be changing over time and adapting, first with him fusing with the suit to the point they're one, next we learn from the call in the third episode that Goji would overtime become more animalistic, and have other traits like being able to control their tail. This technically has happened as he gained his aforementioned Boiling Blood seemingly out of nowhere, which is now something he's using consistently. His body is, in a way, malleable, being able to unhinge his jaw and shift it over time as he evolves, with the image above stating that he “kept changing”, while this statement did have another explanation it wouldn't be out of the question to say that this is part of Goji’s odd biology. It's even stated that, given enough time, he could grow to the size of the real Godzilla.

Resistances

Darkhold Iron Man

Genius Intellect

If you’re nothing without the suit then you shouldn’t have it. Tony is one of the self-proclaimed greatest minds on the planet, and is a genius inventor. He was the main scientist to create most of his technology. He shouldn’t become any less smart even though his body was mangled beyond belief.

Weapon Mastery

Tony was surprisingly skilled with all of his gadgets and weaponry, using them proficiently and tactically against his captors.

Physiology

After putting on the suit, Tony’s body began to change. The suit effectively started combining with Tony, melting and replacing his insides with metal. This makes it so that Tony presumably doesn’t have some of the same weaknesses as normal people, such as needing oxygen.

Regeneration

As a way to atone for all the deaths that resulted from his arms manufacturing. Tony designed his and all other suits with the primary purpose of keeping them alive. What this means is that the suit has a minor healing factor that can repair the body’s internal damage. It can replace damaged tissue, replicate his DNA, and constantly make sure his vitals are working.

Resistances

Support

The Man in the Suit

Infected Suits

Throughout the series, Goji has infected 3 separate suit actors: Angurius, Mosura, and Ghidora. Due to the way his infection works, Goji is capable of communicating with the helpless victims, ordering them around to help his cause.

There’s not much to note about each besides the fact that they’re biologically identical to Goji and seem to possess the same characteristics, meaning they should all scale to Goji’s feats and abilities (besides maybe Boiling Blood) due to possessing the same physiology. The exception to this is Mosura, who is (at the current point in the series) an immobile cocoon, meaning she can’t technically aid in combat, although she is capable of shooting out poisonous gas when threatened; enough to flood a building.

Darkhold Iron Man

Other Suits

Darkhold Iron Man created multiple suits and either forced or tricked people into entering them. Each suit is controlled by the AI running his suit, allowing him to control them and aid him in his quest. Since he created these suits to keep people alive just like him, each should possess the same general characteristics and weaponry (except maybe the blowtorch) as his own suit, and thus should scale to any feat he performs in it.

In total, while we don’t get an exact number, we can estimate he’s stuffed 5 people (see Before the Verdicts).

While Goji is an absolute beast, he does have several flaws. For example, his increasing animalistic tendencies mean he's occasionally lacking in intelligence.  Additionally, he can be blinded by bright lights such as the flash of a camera, though this does make him enraged.

Also, he’s a furry (well scaley technically but you get the point).

This Is Where I'd Put My Trophy If I Had One Meme - Imgflip

While Tony is certainly a powerful and intelligent Man, he's definitely not perfect. Tony was clearly susceptible to the mind manipulation of the suit’s AI. Also, he's really slow and sluggish in his suit from what we’ve seen, and can presumably run out of power if overtaxed and not recharged.

Also, the first Iron Man comic is racist as fuck.

Before the Verdict

Would Tony scale to events from 616?

Alright so he just doesn't ever interact with any of them, so no lmao. The only thing he scales to is the events of the original Iron Man origin as we do see those events have happened in Darkhold Ironman’s series, the Iron Man origin comics are actually shown in the Darkhold comics as flashbacks, further supporting this.

Would Tony scale to the other Darkholds?

One argument that was brought up for Tony, is him possibly scaling to the other characters in the Darkhold series. This doesn’t make sense because the Darkhold stories all take place in different universes. They have virtually no similarities to each other and shouldn’t scale in any sense.

How many people does Tony have in suits?

At the end of the comic, Tony seemingly manages to put several people in suits, all of which are loyal to him; we don't know exactly how many but at the highest, it's safe to go with 5. Jarvis and Happy (both in one suit), Pepper, and 3 random civilians (Thank you, random citizens).

Stats

Let's get right into this, the stats between these two horrifying suits are interesting, to say the least. In terms of strength, it does seem to favor Tony at first. Goji’s best feat is him biting into another suit's skull, but Tony could straight-up snap bones at 521 joules, which is almost twice as strong. Even when accounting for high-end and scaling Goji’s AP to his durability (as he’s been shown being able to harm others who can harm him), his strongest feat still only gets to around 1,406 Joules against Darkhold’s high-end bone-breaking feat of 9,920 Joules, giving Darkhold a clear power advantage. However, this is only physical strength, not general AP, and when you take that into account the tide turns completely. Goji’s signature ability, his Boiling Blood is such a potent acid that it could create a crater at 0.0015 tons of TNT. This puts the Boiling Blood roughly a hundred times stronger than Tony's durability. Just one blast would completely melt Tony’s armor and one shot him, which is a huge advantage. Additionally, it could bypass Tony’s armor altogether by going through the weak spots like the holes in the face, a strategy that Goji has used against armored opponents. It should also be noted that while the Boiling Blood requires a charge, Goji has used it mid combat before, so it's not so long of a preparation that it's a huge weakness. Now onto speed, it honestly matters very little here. Goji’s best (and only) speed feat is human-level, and Tony should cap at human-level speeds too since he seems comparable to normal people. So speed is basically even and a non-factor in this debate.

Overall, while Darkhold Iron Man has superior physical strength, his best feats pale in comparison to Goji’s overall AP, with neither having an edge in speed.

Arsenal/Abilities

Arsenal and abilities is what makes this debate so interesting. Tony easily takes general arsenal on account of, you know, having one. He has a bunch of tools on his suit to use; however, the usefulness of these tools is very questionable. Tony has a saw, but it's rather tiny and would be very impractical to use. Tony has a blow torch, but again, not very combat-applicable, and Goji’s survived similar heats before, including his own boiling blood. What about his magnets and transistors? Well, Goji being a biological creature means these would likely do nothing, and even if they worked, slightly repelling and pulling Goji ain't gonna do much anyway. The only thing Tony has that would be useful is his air jets, which could make him far more mobile than Goji, however, these have limited power, meaning the slight speed advantage won’t last very long. Besides that, Tony really lacks weapons here and is forced to rely on his melee, which puts him at a natural disadvantage against someone with claws and teeth and notably puts him in the range to get blasted by the Boiling Blood, which would certainly kill him.

Now let's talk about abilities and hax, and it’s this category that Goji starts to sweep. We’ve already mentioned his Boiling Blood being able to straight up one shot Tony, but Goji also has a very broken hax in the form of his infection. Through either a bite or his vomit, Goji can infect Tony via the radiation he emits causing him to transform and become one with his suit like he is. It's important to note that Tony’s armor has several gaps in it as well as his melted body straight up pouring out of it, meaning it would be very easy for the infection to make contact. Goji has full mind control over those he’s infected, and it's important to note that Tony is very susceptible to mind hax, as he was literally controlled by the Darkhold.

Next, let’s discuss maybe Goji’s greatest advantage in this fight, his frankly absurd regeneration. Tony does have regen of his own, but it's a lot more minor, only internal, and via the mechanics of his suit that can be destroyed. Goji meanwhile has regeneration that can regrow large parts of him in a short period of time, and him surviving his head getting blown off and coming back from exploding within the suit, to begin with, shows that he doesn’t rely on organs and can regenerate from any part of himself. To put it bluntly, Darkhold can't kill Goji in any way. He lacks effective weapons to overpower the regen, only really being capable of punching and ripping Goji apart. The strength gap isn’t huge, meaning he can’t easily do this in the first place, but even if he did, Goji can come back from anything Darkhold does to him with his healing factor. Since he has no real win-con, it's only a matter of time before Tony succumbs to infection or just gets one shot by the vomit.

But what about Tony’s suit he can stuff people in? Well, despite being his main thing, that's a rather weak advantage here. For one, Goji straight up can’t fit into any of the suits Tony normally has. You could argue he could rip apart and force Goji inside, but this has issues. For one, a two times strength gap (a nine times gap at best, but those are more high-end) isn’t enough to reliably do this, meaning Goji can just stop Tony from fitting him in the suit in the first place. However, even if he was put in the suit somehow, Goji has yet another hard counter to this. He can just infect the new suit and continue, the suit melting him is not an issue at all since he’s straight up survived that exact thing before, all he’d do is make the new suit his new body, then continue the fight.

Oh and one final thing, we know that Goji is constantly mutating and evolving, so while it's unlikely to occur in this fight, if the fight somehow dragged on long enough Goji could grow even stronger than before. So to sum things up, Goji outhaxes hard here, being impossible for Tony to kill and having several win cons Tony blatantly can’t resist.

Tertiary Factors

Onto territory factors, let's start with intelligence. Unsurprisingly, Tony is far smarter than Goji and it's not even close. Tony is a scientific genius, while Goji is just a clever actor at best and a pure animal at worst. Tony also has a bit more experience with actually fighting thanks to his mentioned past. Tony would be far better at analyzing and coming up with a strategy in this fight, though given how unfamiliar and potent Goji’s powers are, it's unlikely he’d be able to work around it before he loses.

Now let's talk about support, which is probably Tony's biggest advantage in this fight. Tony has at the best estimate five other armors to help him, while Goji only has two suits on his side (plus the motionless Mosura). The numbers advantage does give Tony a lot of workroom and the ability to overwhelm Goji, especially since his side is generally stronger and more versatile. While Mosura’s poisonous gas is useful, Tony’s life-support systems and lack of concern for oxygen make it a non-threat. However, Goji’s side has ways to even the gap. For one, the armors are still unable to kill Goji or his suits due to the regen as previously mentioned. Also, Goji’s side can just infect any of the suits, which due to mind hax would turn Tony’s own forces against him. So the numbers advantage isn't that big of a deal.

Another factor in this debate that should be considered is Tony’s power, it’s explicitly mentioned that Tony’s suit requires power and would run out eventually, as this was a genuine threat to Tony in his story. Compare this to Goji’s infinite stamina, and it becomes clear Goji is far better at playing the long game and would outlast Tony.

Finally, let's discuss Goji’s racism (yes this is an actual factor in the debate lol), there is the argument that Goji wouldn’t make use of his infection due to Tony being an American, as seen by him killing Kong. However, there’s no reason why Goji wouldn’t just resort to this eventually in a fight. Goji’s smart enough to develop strategies himself, and he’s resorted to unorthodox tactics as a last resort when backed into a corner, such as when he first developed Boiling Blood when surrounded, and how he targeted the facility’s power system when he noticed the protagonist was coming to kill him. Also, even if Goji just completely refused to use infection for some reason, he could still just flat-out kill Tony with the Boiling Blood anyway, which is the far easier win-con in the first place.

The Man in The Suit | Villains Fanon Wiki | Fandom

“There's no God, just me. Don't worry. I will make you whole again. You lost your family. That's why I take revenge. Kill those who have wronged us.”

Advantages

  • Boiling Blood AP stomps.

  • Far superior regeneration that makes him impossible to kill.

  • Darkhold is vulnerable to infection/mind hax.

  • Could infect Darkhold’s support and turn them against him.

  • Can counter being stuffed in a suit by infecting it.

  • Can’t run out of stamina/power.

  • Could theoretically mutate and evolve if the fight dragged on long enough.

  • More useful abilities overall.

  • Own support could infect Tony’s or himself, making them individually more useful.

  • Would go for the infection when backed into a corner.

  • Could exploit the gaps in Tony’s armor, as well as his body leaking out.

  • TMITS is a good series idc

  • Was one of the last theories Matpat made

  • I love him

Equal

  • Identical in speed.

  • Springtrap Victim

Disadvantages

  • Weaker physically.

  • Less agile than the air jets.

  • Lacks any actual equipment.

  • Main win-con takes time to activate.

  • Less numerous support.

  • The iron in the MK1 suit could, on paper, resist his radiation.

  • Far less intelligent.

  • Goji’s racism could unironically delay him using infection.

  • Tony could theoretically force him into a suit with enough effort.

  • Less fighting experience compared to Tony.

  • Stole Suitmation Trials’ whole flow.

  • Kaiju fans, stop asking the creator powerscaling questions.

Conclusion

Overall, Goji has everything he needs to triumph in this fight; his superior regeneration makes him impossible for Tony to kill, and his Boiling Blood and infection are simply very powerful win-cons that Tony can’t resist or deal with. Darkhold Iron Man was a genius and powerful foe, but Goji had the abilities and hax to be the only suit remaining. The winner is The Man in the Suit.

Team Darkhold Iron Man

Stats

Simple enough to cover, when comparing either monster's feats it's pretty clear. Tony takes the physical edge more likely than not, though not by a huge enough degree to instantly take out TMITS. Goji does take an edge in overall AP, however, with his Boiling Blood vomit getting way stronger than any feat Darkhold has done. It is important to say that the Blood does take time to prepare, leaving them open, though Iron Man isn't so much stronger to capitalize off it perfectly, it's still big that Goji’s strongest attack can't be performed instantly. This means that overall, Tony takes the strength edge; this logic also applies to durability as naturally, both should scale to their physical AP. To give credit Tony's armor adds some protection from Goji’s attacks, except the vomit as that could seep into its cracks, meaning Tony technically has better durability on top of his normal stats but it's not by some huge margin presumably. Also, speed is pretty much irrelevant here, neither gets all that many feats that can't just be achieved by a normal or at best athletic person. Tony does have some form of high AP with his armor being able to liquify a whole person, while yes this is very powerful, it wouldn't work against TMITS for two reasons; Goji even if just slightly taller than an average person is still fairly large and wide so forcing them into a suit would be a challenge, and even if you do, the suit only turns the target into liquid, which Goji has come back from, so they'd likely reform into the new suit similar to the first time, so yeah that wouldn't work here. Still overall, Darkhold Iron Man would take the strength and durability categories.

Arsenal/Abilities

This is more interesting, as both have stuff the other hasn't experienced before. First with each other's help, Darkhold noticeably has a higher number of allies, each debatably possessing similar stats to Tony himself, giving him an edge there. Now with stuff just on their person, Tony takes a huge lead, all Goji has in this would be his auxiliary weapons (claws, teeth, etc), while Tony has way more with stuff like his blow torch, buzz saw, and air jets, which are stuff TMITS has never fought before, though some are useless here like the magnets and suction cups. But Goji does take an advantage in overall abilities, with his infection being something Tony has no resistance towards (though TMITS likely wouldn’t go for that first and instead try to kill Darkhold like the King Kong actor, but they'd still be able to do it in a pinch), and thanks to the regeneration, Tony wouldn't be able to kill TMITS all that easily with any of his weapons. However Darkhold also has his the right list of abilities to overcome Goji's, he has his own form of regen which while not as potent is still major, is vastly way smarter than TMITS even at their best, as well as largely more experienced even in combat, the MK1 armor also can theoretically resist Goji's radiation meaning they'd have to go in-between the armors cracks in order for it to corrupt Darkhold, which to be fair he could do with the Blood, but that takes time to prepare, and since Goji doesn't give off radiation passively, that leaves it's other methods like biting (try biting metal lol), and possibly with Mothra's gas, but Tony has a way to counter with the fact he wouldn't need to breathe thanks to him not needing oxygen, let alone her being in a specific location. Goji could evolve as the fight goes on though what that exactly entails is mostly unknown, we could assume it'd make him more adapted to fight someone like Darkhold, with maybe more body control, but we can't say it'd be some big increase in power or being able to create some counter to what Tony has SCP-682 style.

Tertiary Factors

So the main thing here is if Tony could kill TMITS, as their regen means they wouldn't die to pretty much all of what Tony has, so that'd just mean Goji would inevitably win right? Well, technically, but Tony is still Tony, thanks to his higher number of support with with him having 5 we know of vs Goji’s 2 (Mothra can't really help much lol), and them likely scaling to his own stronger physicals, he could fend off Goji, Ghidorah, and Anguirus long enough for him to make a plan to get rid of them, this is also something possible mid-fight thanks to the AI Tony has, he could theoretically contact Stark Tower for it to formulate something. What exactly? Well that's the tricky part, we know that Toho was somehow able to bring back Goji after he escaped, presumably with help from the tasers, and keep them there to do the films, it wouldn't be hard to say that Stark Industries would have resources capable of doing something similar, and Tony would be smart enough to know that if he can't physically kill Goji, he'd more than likely try to, say, trap them. But wouldn't Goji infect Darkhold before then? Well considering his body still has some amount of armor even with open spots of flesh, and his Air-Pressure Jets being able to send him far away if need be, plus his already mentioned squad of corrupted suits of his own, he has enough means to play keep away. Plus Stark definitely has enough intelligence and skill to pull this off. And while Tony does run off a limited power supply, he should be very aware of this and know that he has to at least stop TMITS as fast as possible.

Darkhold Iron Man

“God made us in his image, Pepper. And we don’t have to live with that mistake anymore.”

Advantages

  • Smarter.

  • Physically stronger.

  • Way more weapons/tools with wider variety…

  • Numbers advantage with his support.

  • More agile with the air jets.

  • Being an American could mean Goji doesn’t go for his infection first…

  • Could resist some of the radiation from Goji.

  • His AI would still be active in Stark Tower even if he dies/gets infected…

  • Could strategies In this fight.

  • Better fighter.

  • Comicstorian.

  • The cover art design slaps. Why didn't they use that in the actual comic? (“Because the comic design is creepier, poopyhead.” - NormallyNormal)

Equal

  • Identical in speed.

  • Springtrap victim

Disadvantages

  • …though most of these would be ineffective against Goji.

  • Goji’s better regen makes it hard to put him down.

  • His support can be infected and turned against him.

  • …though this didn’t matter much if Goji simply killed him.

  • Boiling Blood would one shot him.

  • Has limited power to work with and could run out from overuse of gadgets.

  • Has no resistance to being infected if Goji comes to use it.

  • …though, that would still count as a Goji win if he dies.

  • His flesh leaking out of his armor makes it really easy for Goji to land his infection.

  • Lacks the destructive power to put down Goji for good.

  • Is the most underutilized character ever.

  • Why did they make his melted skin white, why…

So as a whole, both combatants had advantages over the other, with it possibly going either way, neither have fought anything like each other before. Goji was tough with his regeneration and infection, and narratively, should have beaten the American, but Tony's superior strength, arsenal, and intellect give him the means to cage the no-longer man in a new suit. The winner is Darkhold Iron Man
